For my digital illustrations and general graphic design, I use the Huion Kamvas Pro 16 drawing tablet with a 2018 MacBook Air. I’m currently using the Affinity Designer drawing program.
When I draw traditionally, I use the following:
From top to bottom:
- PILOT G2 black gel pen in size 10 (equivalent to 1mm)
- Uni-Ball Signo Broad Point white gel pen (comes in 1mm)
- Uni-Ball Vision Elite in size .8mm
The first and the third are for lining/inking, and the white gel pen is for accenting/correcting.
I also use Uni Posca black & white paint markers in the 3M and 5M sizes.
For painting, coloring, and drawing on, I use the following:
From left to right:
- Size 2 round synthetic brush (Princeton Aspen Series 6500)
- Size 30 round nylon Blick mega brush
- Size 6 round synthetic Blick academic brush
- Holbein acrylic ink
- Faber-Castell colored pencils
- Blick smooth Bristol board
- Bienfang mixed media sketchbook—I switch sketchbook brands a lot based on what looks good, so I haven’t tried this one out extensively yet.
I also use Crayola magic markers, Liquitex acrylic paint, Staedtler watercolor pencils, and Ooly watercolor paint pods.
The main tool I use to weave is this loom. Most of my yarn comes from JOANN Fabrics & Crafts. Some bits and pieces came from friends, indie yarn shops, and fiber festivals.
