This page explains how to commission me for a woven tapestry. For a digital illustration commission, please look at the instructions here.

There are currently three tapestry slots open. First come, first served.

type 1: mini rectangle ($50)

this size is a cute, small accent for a workspace or bedroom. it measures 4″×6″ without the fringe and hanger (the lengths of which are customizable). guaranteed to be shipped one week after date of commission (but may ship sooner).

type 2: long & skinny ($70)

this size is great for hanging on narrow strips of wall. it measures 4″×10″ without the fringe and hanger (the lengths of which are customizable). guaranteed to be shipped one week after date of commission (but may ship sooner).

type 3: traditional canvas ($90)

this size makes a great canvas for pictures and designs. it measures 8″×10″ without the fringe and hanger (the lengths of which are customizable). guaranteed to be shipped two weeks after date of commission (but may ship sooner).

type 4: BIG ($250)

this size makes for a statement piece of dazzling proportions. it measures 16″×18″ without the fringe and hanger (the lengths of which are customizable). guaranteed to be shipped four weeks after date of commission (but may ship sooner).

STEPS

To start a commission, email me at [email protected] with the subject line “woven tapestry commission” and the following information in the body:

  • the type of tapestry you’d like (by number)
  • colors, textures, themes, and shapes to include (can be an image/object to depict)
  • the full address to which you’d like the completed weaving mailed

I will send you an invoice via PayPal, and will begin the weaving once payment is received.

EXAMPLES

An 8 by 10 inch weaving depicting an amanita muscaria mushroom on a purple background. The fringe is dark gray, with a few bows and X's in the same color scattered on the weaving.
type 3, traditional canvas = $60
A 4 by 6 inch weaving, mostly in green, with two white patches and dark gray fringe.
type 1, mini rectangle = $30
A 16 by 18 inch weaving with many textures, hung on a walnut branch. It has two shades of pink, as well as purple, teal, mustard yellow, and neon yellow. Some parts are fluffy, some parts are braided, and some are flat.
type 4, big = $150
A 4 by 10 inch weaving with thick cotton macrame cord fringe. It has stripes of purple, black, white, and green, with a circle divided into black and white halves near the bottom.
type 2, long & skinny = $50
A 4 by 10 inch weaving in bright primary colors (plus black and white). Many of the abstract shapes are triangles. It has yellow fringe and hand-spun yarn for the cord.
type 2, long & skinny = $50
A 4 by 6 inch weaving in moss and stone colors, with a white braid near the top. It has macrame cord fringe.
