I learned how to weave in 2019 on my bedroom floor after a craft video deep dive followed by an impulsive online loom purchase. I quickly fell head over heels in love.

At the time, I had shelves of yarn left over from years of teen knit clubs and a good amount of roving (thick, fluffy ropes of unspun fiber) from a festival that’s occasionally held in my area. This, along with lots of time at home during the COVID-19 lockdowns, allowed for a lot of experimentation, which has helped me hone my art.

A small wooly weaving, mostly in green, with two white patches and dark gray fringe.
A large weaving with many textures, hung on a walnut branch. It has two shades of pink, as well as purple, teal, mustard yellow, and neon yellow. Some parts are fluffy, some parts are braided, and some are flat.
A large square weaving with stripes in autumn colors, as well as white, purple, and gray. There is a section of triangles near the bottom, and the fringe is in variegated colors. The cord is hand-spun yarn.
A medium-large weaving, done mostly in a shiny white wool/silk blend. There is a crocodile woven into it, with the letters "ABC" above it in the colors pink, green, and peach. The fringe is cotton macrame cord.
A long, thin weaving with thick cotton macrame cord fringe. It has stripes of purple, black, white, and green, with a circle divided into black and white halves near the bottom.
A long, thin weaving in bright primary colors (plus black and white). Many of the abstract shapes are triangles. It has yellow fringe and hand-spun yarn for the cord.

A medium weaving, with a variegated magenta background. The fringe is the same color. The main feature is a half-peeled banana design, with a couple sparkles and bows added around it, and the word "banana" embroidered on.
